7 Places to eat Vegan in Fort Worth, Tx. Well it is getting easier and easier to eat Vegan in Fort Worth ,Tx. which is better known as Cow-town Beef Eaters capital of the Lone Star State. I am vegetarian not vegan but I love Vegan food and try to cut back on Dairy. It has just been hard to go to a restaurant and barely be able to eat vegetarian much less Vegan . However more and more of us out there want a choice , So restaurant owners are listening and we have some fantastic choices .
1.Spiral Diner– of course this is on the list .“Spiral diner is a vegan and gluten-free haven which is still pleasing to meat and wheat eaters. This is the only completely Vegan Restaurant in Fort Worth (that i know of ). You don’t have to search down the menu to figure out what you can eat , or even ask them to cook it a special way for you . It is completely safe. The food is so good you will keep asking yourself if it is really vegan . Everything is very tasty ,but the club sandwich is my favorite . They have great deserts and smoothies. The diner also has some vegan groceries to buy at the front counter.
2.Juice Junkies– This place is more than a place to buy cleansing juices , which by the way if you are planning a juice cleanse you need to come here . You buy enough for 3,5,or 7 day cleanse. Pre bottled and planned out for you just drink it ! no mess or clean up . Ok enough about the great juices. this place has clean healthy food,Breakfast ,snacks, soups and salads most of their menu is Vegan .I love the power balls great snack when you have a sweet tooth.
3.Tom and Chee– you guessed it ,grilled cheese and tomato soup. The sandwiches are what I call gourmet cheese sandwiches. I have never been there but will go and update this post as soon as i go. They advertise Vegan Options. They do have several vegetarian options. Tom and Chee has Vegan cheese and a lot of veggies to put on your Sammie! I am not a Vegan so not sure if the bread is vegan . They do have a gluten free option ,but that doesn’t always mean dairy free. 2 out of 3 of there soups are vegan and gluten free. Even though this place has Vegan or Vegetarian don’t expect it to be low cal .
4.Mellow Mushroom- Wonderful pizza place that has Salads , but they also have vegan cheese, tempeh for pizza veggie toppings. Funky atmosphere. It is usually very busy so don’t be in a hurry when you go.
5.Pho District– Viet Nam is a food lover’s playground. A country inspired by past colonization and regional influences such as French, Chinese, South East Asian, and Indian. Vietnamese chefs successfully “paired” foreign recipes with fresh, locally available ingredients and spices. Over centuries, street vendors have taken the “foreign grub” to a new level by using cooking techniques familiar to most working folks. The result is modern day Vietnamese Street Food. This place actually has a Vegan Menu and Delivers!
6.Chipotle– Is now on the band wagon ,they have a Vegan choice for their burrito, It is Sofritas which is better known as Braised Tofu. However dont be fooled, their sour cream and cheese is still full of dairy. They do have plenty of other options to make this taste good like lettuce ,tomatoes, onions, and of course my favorite Guacamole.
7.Loving Hut – Well this is in Arlington instead of Fort Worth, but it is worth mentioning because it is 100% Vegan like Spiral, you don’t have to guess and wonder you just order .
Bonus: I consider these 2 bonuses because they are sweets for desert instead of a meal . Melts which have some very Funky flavor choices for ice cream, they always have a vegan choice
Stir Crazy Bakery, has some vegan and gluten free choices and if they don’t have what you want in stock you can do a special order . Don’t forget to also try their Vegan Sausage rolls.
